Bryan Hampton, Head Instructor
Fitness and coaching is not a job to me. It’s not a means to an end or a hobby. It’s my passion; it’s who I am. To me, the greatest gift in life is helping people. Being able to sit back at the end of the day and know that I helped someone take the next step to living a healthier, happier and stronger life is the most gratifying feeling in the world, and that’s why I am here. I know that every person learns and is motivated differently; it is my goal to help train others with a purpose and a passion. I work to make my kettlebell, kickboxing, karate classes and personal training sessions something to look forward to knowing, that at the end you’ll be less stressed and more confident. I promise to make every workout challenging and exciting while educating you about wellness and fitness.

After 20+ years training in classical ballet and yoga, I’ve found a new passion teaching kettlebell and kickboxing. My main goal for myself is to make sure my class is full of smiles and high fives and to transform my clients into formidable powerhouses who sweat confidence. I greatly enjoy using my knowledge to assist clients with stretching to increase flexibility and to prevent injury or even help those dealing with discomfort. I’m also currently working towards my black belt in American karate so I’m at the gym often, so if you see me walking around, feel free to ask me questions, I’m always happy to help.

It’s never too late to find your passion. I’m 18 years and counting in karate. My joy is to watch students grow, doing things they once thought they could never do, learning how to take chances, to be confident and to get the most out of themselves. On my black belt test, an observer told a friend of mine that she remembered when I was a white belt and that at the time, she wouldn’t have bet a plug nickel on my chances to reach black belt. If I could do it, you can do it.

You’ll know I’m teaching Kids Karate because you’ll hear my enthusiastic instructions as soon as you open the gym door. Working at Atlanta Kick combines two of my favorite things: helping others and karate! I grew up right here at Atlanta Kick earning my first degree black belt and recently my second degree. You could say I love to accessorize-nunchucks, eskrima, kama, bo, ball and chain, and throwing stars-I’ve got experience with all of them and would love to help you ignite your passion for all that Karate has to offer.
Ryan Shelor – Instructor
My goal for classes I teach? Make sure you have fun and get a great workout. I enjoy being a bit ridiculous in my kickboxing classes but I make sure that no muscle is left behind or unworked. I recently earned my 2nd degree black belt. 4 topics I love to talk about: techniques, advanced movements, Dragon*Con costumes (always working on mine), my screenwriting projects and your goals!
John Lieng – Instructor
I started at Atlanta Kick in my junior year of high school and fell in love with the staff and the community. Outside of martial arts, I am currently attending Oglethorpe University, working on my undergraduate degree in biology. I love to go outdoors, play piano, and be a huge nerd in my free time.
Geno Fearce – Instructor
I love seeing the confidence in my students that comes from accomplishing something physical-maybe something you didn’t think you could do before. Being a part of that magic is what’s kept me in the physical fitness industry since 1988. I began in the martial arts and continue to instruct all levels-from 3 year olds to adults. In addition to 4 types of martial arts, I instruct kickboxing, Capoeira, tumbling and personal training. I’m from California and my spare time is spent dj-ing so you can always count on a great soundtrack to our workouts.
