Paola Rodriguez

My love for fitness is only rivaled by my love for food – and maybe margaritas! I show up at the gym satisfied that I do what I love and I encourage all of my students to make every day a happy one, inside or outside of AK. My priorities are to encourage everyone to live a healthy, balanced lifestyle physically, mentally, and emotionally. Sometimes punching and kicking with all of your might helps you burn off some steam. Maybe swinging around some kettle bells for a sweat session will release some endorphins for you. Whatever the case, the Atlanta Kick team will help you achieve your goals. At the end of the night, we can also run over to Eclipse and grab a fresh mojito for dessert!

Elaina Sanders

After 20+ years training in classical ballet and yoga, I’ve found a new passion teaching kettlebell and kickboxing. My main goal for myself is to make sure my class is full of smiles and high fives and to transform my clients into formidable powerhouses who sweat confidence. I greatly enjoy using my knowledge to assist clients with stretching to increase flexibility and to prevent injury or even help those dealing with discomfort. I’m also currently working towards my black belt in American karate so I’m at the gym often, so if you see me walking around, feel free to ask me questions, I’m always happy to help.

Lynn McDaniel

I live to work out and love how it makes me feel both physically and mentally. I feel stronger and more confident and I’m sure I’m a more pleasant person to be around when I’m working out regularly! That’s why I love to teach – to help create those same awesome feelings in others! I work hard to keep my workouts and classes fresh and always hope to hear “wow, that was hard but awesome!”

Christina Collandra

I have a passion for circus arts, yoga and teaching! I’ve been hanging from the ceiling practicing aerial silks for over 2 years. You’ll find my classes welcoming, fun & exhausting – but, you know, in that good way that makes you feel proud of yourself. I hail from a background of rigorous martial arts and boxing training. Having trained with top notch athletes, I use what I’ve learned to take your fitness and performance to the next level. Nina Montgomery

I have always been an active person, but very quickly became tired of the usual, repetitive work out you get a regular gym. With kickboxing, you get an amazing cardio work out as you pound your day’s frustrations out on the bag. As a nursing student at Georgia State, I value the importance of health and fitness in every day life. I plan my classes so that they are challenging, but definitely doable and fun. I incorporate new moves and sequences each week, so you never know what to expect and will receive maximum results. I love inspiring and encouraging clients through their workouts and witnessing positive changes in both their bodies and their confidence. Fitness and coaching is not a job to me.  It’s not a means to an end or a hobby. It’s my passion; it’s who I am. To me, the greatest gift in life is helping people. Being able to sit back at the end of the day and know that I helped someone take the next step to living a healthier, happier and stronger life is the most gratifying feeling in the world, and that’s why I am here. I know that every person learns and is motivated differently; it is my goal to help train  others with a purpose and a passion. I work to make my kettlebell, kickboxing, karate classes and personal training sessions something to look forward to knowing, that at the end you’ll be less stressed and more confident. The best thing about kickboxing at Atlanta Kick? It’s the one place where you get praised for punching, kicking, being aggressive, yelling and totally letting loose! I first fell in love with kickboxing five years ago after searching for a workout that would get rid of the Freshman 15 (ok… 20) and haven’t looked back since. My goal is for you to walk away from each class feeling stronger, more confident and less stressed from a workout that you actually enjoy, too! By day, I’m a public relations professional and 24/7 #plantpowered vegetarian, Georgia Bulldog and over-the-top Falcons fan. Can’t wait to see you in class!

My goal for classes I teach? Make sure you have fun and get a great workout. I enjoy being a bit ridiculous in my kickboxing classes but I make sure that no muscle is left behind or unworked. I recently earned my 2nd degree black belt. 4 topics I love to talk about: techniques, advanced movements, Dragon*Con costumes (always working on mine), my screenwriting projects and your goals!


Hello, I’m Andrea! CrossFit has been a way of life for me since that fateful day way back in 2010. I remember walking through the gym door with absolutely no skills, strength, or a clue as to what I was getting into. Despite my worst fears, what I ended up finding was a supportive community invested in helping me to achieve my fitness and wellness goals. As a Coach, my passion revolves around assisting athletes of all fitness levels to learn and overcome personal limitations and reach their aspirations. I place a large emphasis on proper form and learning to lift heavy loads gradually so that sufficient technique can be developed to prevent injury. Outside of the box, I love hiking and any situation where I can put my CrossFit skills to the test.


It’s safe to say I drank the cool aid. I started CrossFit in 2012, and it has changed my life in many ways. I was a gymnast for most of my years so I am very fortunate to still be able to do quite a few of my old tricks thanks to CrossFit. I now also love the sport Olympic weightlifting especially the snatch, no really it’s my favorite lift we do.

I work in IT by day and CrossFit by night. Before making the leap into the fitness world, I was a 911 call taker and dispatcher. I left that career when I realized I wasn’t making the kind of impact in individuals’ lives like I wanted to. I’ve gone through my own weight-loss journey and know the struggles that come along with it. I’m here to help you overcome the challenges in your life so that you can go forward with confidence and ultimately living comfortably in your own skin. In the last four years as a trainer, I have worked with people ages 15 to 73 and all in different places of their fitness journeys. We don’t die, we modify! I’m a trainer that’s a jack-of-all! If you have a problem, I’m here to help you solve it. I can help you with working around injuries, aches and pains, body sculpting, toning, strength, mobility, flexibility, weight-loss, diet and everything in between. I understand starting a new routine and new lifestyle can be the most challenging thing you will experience, but it will also be the most rewarding!


George started doing CrossFit in 2010, looking for a new and fun way to stay in shape after  playing college football at Akron University. He competed in the 2011, 2012, 2013, and 2014 Southeast Regionals on a team. He has a degree in Kinesiology from Akron, a Masters in Exercise Science from Georgia State, and has his level 1 CrossFit certification. He enjoys Olympic and power lifting, cooking, and playing outside with his dog. George is a Pittsburgh native and a die hard Steelers fan.


Tipping the scale at almost 290 lbs, Leo realized he needed to make drastic changes in his lifestyle. With the help and encouragement of coworkers, friends, and family, Leo was able to drop the excess weight and make fitness a staple in his life. Along his journey to fitness, he found boxing and competed as an amateur boxer before finding CrossFit. In 2013, Leo stumbled upon a CrossFit gym and was challenged to a workout. He has been hooked ever since.

In 2016, he moved from New York City to Fort Myers and joined the coaching staff of Hyte CrossFit as a CrossFit Level 1 Trainer.  After coaching there for 3 years, Leo moved to Atlanta and joined our team!


I started at Atlanta Kick in my junior year of high school and fell in love with the staff and the community. Outside of martial arts, I am currently attending Oglethorpe University, working on my undergraduate degree in biology. I love to go outdoors, play piano, and be a huge nerd in my free time.


I am a Communication & Cultural Studies Professor at Georgia State, specializing in critical race and feminist theories and white privilege pedagogy. Concerning fitness, I grew up playing competitive soccer, playing on the U.S. Women’s National Team while in high school, before a knee injury that left me in a wheelchair for 7 months. After recovery, while college, I led river hiking adventure tours at Zion National Park and worked as an Editor for The Food Network. Then, in graduate school, I trained bodybuilders and bikini competitors as I studied them for my thesis research. Moving to Atlanta two years ago, I, terrified, forced myself into a CrossFit gym after watching a Netflix documentary on the CrossFit games. Especially coming from an environment that put so much emphasis on appearance, rather than performance and health, starting CrossFit has been one of the best things I’ve ever done for myself and my mental health. I haven’t counted a calorie in years, and I’ve never loved my body more. When I’m not working out, coaching, or teaching, I’m cuddling my two golden retrievers and or ranting about politics.

James Newton

Life without fitness and sports would not be life at all to me. From many extreme sports like cliff diving to playing professional soccer, I have always been involved in fitness. I have a vast knowledge of fitness with a degree in Kinesiology and multiple worldly recognized fitness certifications. I truly enjoy seeing “The Aha Moment” when a client finally sees their potential! I have taught for quite some time, which has me always wanting to learn something new.

Having lived in and travelled to so many countries, I have a passion for getting to know people and different types of food. I have been known to cook for many people because food is life to me.  As we cross paths in the studio lets chat about our travels and tell me about a great food dish you have had. If you’re lucky, I might make that dish for you just because I can. Lets get fit, stay fit, and have fun doing it !!!

Tiffany Smith

How can anyone pass up the opportunity to be able to live longer, feel rejuvenated, and have more energy?

I’ve always loved exercising in group fitness and being with like-minded people. I strive to teach classes which are well planned, inclusive, safe, and useful. Teaching fitness classes puts me in my happy place, knowing that I am leading my students toward reaching their fitness goals! I believe that by educating people and guiding them through their fitness goals, it is possible to change lives physically, emotionally, and mentally. My goal is to give you a workout that is entertaining and challenging, but above all, one that makes you want to come back for more!

By day, I am a researcher for an Atlanta broadcasting company. I have a Bachelor’s of Art in Telecommunications and recently earned my M.B.A. in Business Administration. When I’m not working, I enjoy traveling and spending time with my poodle, Cotton. Also, I’m a huge fan of the Atlanta Braves, so we may see each other, just say ”hi!”

My name is Murad; some people call me Nadir and some people call me a funny guy. I am a Brooklyn native, plyometrics/ calisthenics connoisseur, competitive runner, and international group fitness and bootcamp professional / host. In my classes, I am committed to introducing newcomers as well as fitness veterans to a style of fitness training that is fun, inclusive and unparalleled to any fitness module you’ve had before. I was initially drawn to kickboxing because it made working out fun, but I fell in love with Atlanta Kick for their welcoming, inclusive, and supportive atmosphere. Whether you’re a prospective, novice, or skilled member, there is a place for you in my class. I am excited to welcome you to the AK Fit Fam! Outside of kickboxing, I love hosting game nights with friends, cheering on the Dawgs (my alma mater!), hiking in the North Georgia mountains, and watching reruns of Community with my cat, Marvel.

Dani Sirk

Hi I am Dani (yes like a boy). I am huge lover of fitness and an even bigger lover of the impact it has had on my life personally. I started lifting over 5 years ago and began sharing that journey with tons of women across social media. While I originally started working out to “get thin & look like everyone else” I quickly fell in love with the impact fitness had on my mind. I am a huge advocate for mental health and happiness through physical activity!  Over the years, I fell in love with the importance of sharing my own version of this “filter free lifestyle” on Instagram (@therealdanij_), sharing with people the beauty of balance and how amazing it can be to step away from the social media perfection comparison mode and to fall in love with yourself, as you incorporate fitness into your daily life and how it makes you tick. SO much good comes with a change in perspective, allowing yourself to not only grow in your physical capabilities for the “looks” but realizing what a beautiful confidence can bloom from realizing the unique beauty you already possess without all the other stuff! Life is a balancing act, its a hamburger w/ a salad instead of fries, its an early morning gym sesh followed by a night out with friends, its avoiding the scale but making sure the jeans still fit. Life is grace, love and confidence in your body, and sometimes life is EATING THE DANG CAKE! I look forward to cheering each of your on as we take on the balancing act and have some FUN!
