Studio Rules & Etiquette

Safety

  • Arrive early to class. Running safe classes is our number one priority. It is unsafe for people to walk through a class in progress. If you are late, wait at the side of the mat for an instructor or find a staff member to allow you to enter class.
  • Children must be supervised by an adult at all times.
  • No jewelry in class.
  • Maintain proper hygiene: Clean clothing and equipment are essential for a pleasant and hygienic training environment. Finger / toe nails must be kept short and clean at all times.
  • No shoes on the mats. We train barefoot on the mats (you may not wear socks). Instructors may wear approved martial arts shoes.
  • No chewing gum or food allowed while in class.
  • Do not attend class if you are sick. Not only will it be counterproductive for your own training, you put the health of others at risk too.

Etiquette

Karate Room:

SHHHHHHHHH! To ensure the best possible learning environment for our members, classes must remain free of disruptions.

  • No cell phones.
  • No talking in the training area while class is in progress.
  • Clean your workout area: We provide gym wipes for you to clean the area where you worked out, so you don’t leave a sweaty mess for someone else to deal with. Please use them.

Kickboxing Room:

This room is to be used for members who are taking class, or private instruction. Adult members may use the room to train, stretch, or practice before or after taking class. Children may not play in the Kickboxing Room.

Rest Rooms:

Keep our restrooms clean. We have one in our studio, and our building also has public rest rooms available. Always tidy up for the next person please.

Family Room:

If you make a mess, please clean it up. Straighten up chairs and other things you may have used while you were in there. Food and beverages are allowed in the family room, but everyone needs to lend a hand by keeping things extra clean.

Common Areas:

There are benches in the hallways for everyone to enjoy. Children must be supervised by adults, and may not run around in common areas. It is unsafe and disrespectful to others.

Changing Rooms:

Please do not leave personal belongings in the changing rooms. Place personal belongings on the shelves provided.

Parking:

Atlanta Kick members and staff should park and enter at the right side of our building (by Eclipse Di Luna). All other parking areas are reserved for the other merchants in our building.
